The Department of Public Administration and Policy in the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia invites nominations and applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with appointment to begin in August 2026. The position requires a research and teaching focus on public administration. While the field of specialization is open, candidates with research and teaching interests in public management, public personnel administration, organizational theory/behavior, or nonprofit management are particularly encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidates will have the ability to teach core courses in the Master of Public Administration curriculum, such as public management, public personnel administration, public administration and democracy, research methods, and electives in their fields of expertise. Evidence of high-quality research, an active research agenda, and a commitment to excellence in instruction are necessary. We are especially interested in candidates with demonstrated success in securing external research funding. Applicants should have an earned Ph.D. in public administration, public policy, political science, or a related field by August 2026.
