Askew School of Public Administration and Policy
The Askew School of Public Administration and Policy of The Florida State University is hiring for a Specialized Teaching Faculty position to provide graduate instruction within the School’s Master of Public Administration program. The position will be expected to teach four courses in each of the fall and spring semesters, which include a mix of online and in-person teaching.
Candidates with demonstrated expertise across online and in-person teaching modalities, the ability to teach both core MPA and elective courses, and an ability build professional connections into courses will be prioritized.
Ph.D. in public administration, public policy, political science or a related field and have experience relative to teaching graduate public administration and policy courses.
Located in Florida's capital city, the Askew School has repeatedly been recognized as one of the best MPA programs in the U.S. and as one of the top ten faculties internationally as measured by the number of refereed articles published in the journals of our field. The Askew School offers in-person and online MPA degrees, a PhD in public administration, multiple graduate certificates, and an undergraduate minor and certificates. Our affiliated centers include: The Center for Civic and Nonprofit Leadership which serves domestic nonprofits and international NGOs; the Center for Disaster Risk Management which does extensive consulting, training, and support in emergency management for domestic and international organizations; the Florida Center for Public Management which offers the nation's largest Certified Public Manager program state-wide with full-time trainers.
