The School of Public Service in the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a visiting assistant professor position in public administration. The position begins July 2026. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track one-year term position with a 4-4 teaching load for the 2026-Fall/Spring semesters.
The School of Public Service houses a NASPAA-accredited MPA program, a doctoral program in public administration and policy, a graduate certificate in public administration and policy, a graduate certificate in public procurement and contract management, and a minor in public service.
We welcome applicants with an emerging research record or clearly defined research agenda in public administration. The candidate will help meet teaching needs in both the MPA and PhD programs. Courses may include,
